I joined Delta Capita in February 2021 to help build out the consulting side of the business. I previously worked in a larger company that did purely consulting, so joining DC was an exciting new challenge and opportunity to work in a more diverse organisation. It has been an incredible journey for me and the DC team to be a part of our growth story so far.
Delta Capita has an entrepreneurial culture. When I joined our leadership team, it was immediately clear that we were all welcome to take an active part in the business beyond the usual supporting roles.
We have a flexible and open culture that enables all levels - from starting analysts to more experienced consultants who are encouraged to get involved with areas that they are interested in.
We are also empowered to contribute to DC’s wider strategy. From the start, our experienced leadership team encouraged and coached me to develop in areas of the company I was passionate about - from training to internal structures and business propositions.
At first, this level of freedom can be challenging. But by being involved in decisions and designs early on, I learned more about the business, and received unparalleled opportunities for personal growth.
Rare mix of expertise and technology
In my first few months, I also saw the unique benefits of DC’s multi-faceted business model, which was a new experience for me. Working on a project in the know your customer (KYC) space allowed me to partner with experts from our managed service who were advising on content knowledge.
Such relationships extend to our partnerships with other businesses in Prytek, our parent company. They allow us to bring new and exciting mixes of consulting expertise and technical offerings to help our clients in ways larger firms often cannot.
Our in-house technologies - such as change preparation tool DC Modus have enabled me to add more value in the target operating model (TOM) space. These technologies help us to visualise complex business models across the financial services sector.
Helping talented colleagues grow
Seeing how Delta Capita has grown and developed, even in the brief time since I joined, has been very exciting. I feel part of the firm’s decision making and future and as a manager involved in recruitment, I have been able to work with and help talented colleagues grow and develop their skills and careers.
The way we assess performance and reward talent reflects the diverse nature of our work. We aim to recognise all contributions to the firm, and enable managers to support staff in starting and developing a career in consulting.
Delta Capita have assembled a great team of dynamic individuals to continue growing and expanding our business in the next few years. I could not think of a better place to develop a career in consulting.
