Service: A Legacy Continues
“Life's most persistent and urgent question is ‘What are you doing for others?’” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – Montgomery, Alabama (1957)
Service has a ripple effect of kindness, and compassion, and sets off a chain reaction of positive change. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. understood this and utilised it as the cornerstone of his advocacy. Across the globe, individuals and communities continue to heed Dr. King’s call, engaging in acts of service big and small. Examples of grassroots organisations advocating for marginalised communities or individuals volunteering their time to uplift those in need – the spirit of service remains alive and thriving.
In our current era of rapid technological advancements and societal complexities, the essence of service — the commitment to compassion, empathy, and serving the community for the greater good — remains a timeless principle. It is a reminder that amidst challenges, the act of serving others is transformative in bridging divides, fostering unity, and creating lasting change.
The Ripple Effect of Service @ DC
Dr. King envisioned a world where individuals are judged not by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character. His dream was not only about achieving equality, but about creating avenues of opportunity. At Delta Capita, this means prioritising service to ensure that every decision aligns with our client’s best interests, embracing equality to create an inclusive environment with equal access to resources to champion opportunity, and recognising the power of financial education. Whether it’s through tailored consulting strategies, technology solutions, or educational workshops, Delta Capita empowers our clients and employees to foster growth and prosperity.
At Delta Capita, we honour Dr. King's legacy throughout the year by promoting service through community impact events such as the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, fundraising for our Global Charity Partner, REACH and the Sustainability Community employee workstream. These are just a few ways Delta Capita illustrates our commitment to serving our community, positively impacting the environment, and promoting sustainable and equal opportunity for all.
